The Change in Business Energy – Can You Feel It!

I was chatting with a friend this weekend and she mentioned that she noticed a shift in the energy and the mindset of the businesses she has been working with in 2011.  She asked what my thoughts were around the energy of business this year.  Some great information came through and I want to share it with you!

First, the year 2011 is in numerology the energy of 4.  This is the energy of organization, stability and foundation.  The four energy as a master energy of 44 is appearing in the world of business from my perspective.  The 44 energy is a new way of doing business! Business is changing.  The 44 energy is about making a contribution in a sustainable way that is to benefit for all.

The business leaders with 44 in their numerology are leading the way with innovative ideas and concepts that are changing the paradigm of how you make it in business today. Check out www.entrepreneurcommons.org and see what is out there to support new business owners and making it work.

Second, the focus of being of value to those in your business and your sphere of influence has shifted from the service mindset to the contribution mindset.  “How can I be of value to every person I interact with today?” Instead of how can I serve you I ask, “How can I contribute to this person or business?” I have had the privilege to meet a pioneer in this area of expertise Darylle “Bailey” Dennis www.7stepsinc.com She has been working in the corporate arena for three decades inspiring and encouraging people to adopt her platform of Value Exchange Dynamics.

Third, the simple and often forgotten three words that allow the people in your business and life to feel they matter are seen, validate and heard.

Seen -Are you truly seeing the people that are right in front of you? Are you engaged in what is going on? Are you projecting your thoughts and beliefs on to them or are you seeing them for who they truly are?

Validated- Are you confirming and affirming the people in your life? When you are inspired or impacted by another are you telling them? Do you take the time to show gratitude and appreciation for the people in your business and life?

Heard- Are you truly listening to the person talking to you? Not thinking about what you will say next or multi-tasking and only giving a small percentage of your attention?  Are restating what you have heard someone say so you are experiencing clear communication?

I encourage you to notice the shifts and changes taking place in the businesses around you.  Are you doing the same old things? Get ready to embrace the wave of the new energy in business!

Why Writing a Book WILL Sky Rocket Your Business

by Jade Sund on November 3, 2010

I’m sure I’ve made a lot of mistakes in building and running my business. But if there was one thing that I could do over again, I would have written my book FIRST.

Since we generally don’t get a second chance to do something over again – I’m recommending that you write your book this year. Don’t wait. Don’t delay. A book will build your business in ways that you never imagined. And it will be worth every single moment of its birth.

Here are just some of the benefits of what a book will do for you and your business.

Credibility/Expert Status. This one is hard to deny. When you wrote the book on the subject, you’ll be the expert in everyone’s mind. Getting you interview slots in the media, notoriety, credibility, and ultimately higher earning power.

Attract New Clients. Clients love to work with people who know what they are talking about, have experience doing the work they are getting hired to do, and who can articulate a book on a subject that shows their education, expertise, and viability. Your book will become a lead generation tool so new clients can find you and seek out your services.

Speaking Engagements. If you’d like to add more speaking engagements to your business building plan, a book is an incredible tool for getting in the door with event planners and meeting organizers. Send a copy of your book off to them with your speaking one sheet and you will guarantee your spot on the stage.

Additional Income. A book provides an additional source of income; you can easily sell books at your speaking engagements, on your website, or other retail outlets. While book royalties may not fill your bank account, they other opportunities that come from a book will.

Platform for Additional Offerings. If you use your book as a true platform for your business, seed throughout the book about your offerings and services, and use it as a marketing tool in and of itself – you’ll find many ways to increase your business. From hosting workshops and retreats, to offering coaching or consulting. Write your book in a way that will open doors for future, unknown opportunities.

And if you are ready to take the leap and write your book this year, then check out Andrea Costantine and Lisa Shultz’s latest book… http://www.bringyourbooktolifethisyear.com – Grab your copy today and receive two months accountability and writing support in their monthly mentoring group and other bonuses valued at $150.
