I was chatting with a friend this weekend and she mentioned that she noticed a shift in the energy and the mindset of the businesses she has been working with in 2011. Third, the simple and often forgotten three words that allow the people in your business and life to feel they matter are seen, validate and heard.
Seen -Are you truly seeing the people that are right in front of you? Are you engaged in what is going on? Are you projecting your thoughts and beliefs on to them or are you seeing them for who they truly are?
Validated- Are you confirming and affirming the people in your life? When you are inspired or impacted by another are you telling them? Do you take the time to show gratitude and appreciation for the people in your business and life?
Heard- Are you truly listening to the person talking to you? Not thinking about what you will say next or multi-tasking and only giving a small percentage of your attention? Are restating what you have heard someone say so you are experiencing clear communication?
I encourage you to notice the shifts and changes taking place in the businesses around you. Are you doing the same old things? Get ready to embrace the wave of the new energy in business!
